I remember Larry as a cordial and friendly classmate in Davidson High School. Larry was also an enthusiastic young man of good, sound values. Last saw Larry at the 40th anniversary class reunion at Willner's. He was still full of enthusiasm for life and for his work. May all experience peace in this difficult time of loss. Warren White

To the Cardinal Family,
We offer our sympathies, thoughts and prayers to you at such a sad time.
The Cardinal kids and Strmotich girls knew and enjoyed each other very much as we were growing up.
John and I will be thinking of you, especially during this Christmas season, as you learn to live without Larry. His spirit will be with you forever. Hugs to all and God bless.

My sympathies to the family. I will always remember Larry because in 1976, I went down to the Yorkton, Sk. office to speak to the Conservation Officers about a career as a CO. I met with Larry and it was his words of encouragement that inspired me.

I had the pleasure of working with Larry during my time with CVEB. Although we were from different areas of the province, we would occasionally work together at the motor coach checks in Jasper at the Columbia Icefields. Larry was a genuinely nice guy who had the best stories. Even if you hadn't seen him in a while, the conversation would pick up right where it left off. You will be missed by many people my friend. Condolences to the family.

Our sincere condolences to the entire Cardinal Family. I have known Larry and his family since childhood, where we grew up in Bladworth, Saskatchewan. Larry came from a close knit family, "salt of the earth" people. May he rest in peace.
Sincerely,
Virginia and John Blerot

To Larry's family: my most sincere sympathies as well. I was saddened to hear this troubling news. I was in high school in 1976 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan when I went into the local office to speak with the Conservation Officers about a career as a Conservation Officer. Ray Puddicombe directed me to speak with Larry. He provided me with some sage advice and here I am some 40 years later still carrying on after his words of encouragement. May God's blessings be upon the family at this time of sorrow.

Our deepest sympathies to the Cardinal families from the Kowalski families.
Janet and I met up with Larry and Loraine at Cypress Hills in late July of 1980. Easy for us to remember as it was our honeymoon. A casual Hello turned out to be an entire afternoon and evening of reminiscing along with ALL of the local acquaintances who happened by at the time.. Larrys impressions of Yo Sammity Sam kept us laughing the whole time. We will continue to hold those memories.

My heart is very heavy and I’m incredibly sad about this loss. Larry was my first sergeant with CVEB and not only was he an amazing boss, he was a friend who treated me like I was part of his family. I spent many hours on the road with Larry chatting about our lives, dream, hobbies and so many other things. After several years working with him i took a transfer to Medicine Hat and the day I left was very sad as I knew I was leaving a good friend behind. Larry would call me up every year on my birthday for the last seven years and randomly call just to say, when are you coming back to Hanna. Larry will be forever missed and never be forgotten.

I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Larry for a number of years at CVE. He always had a smile on his face and always seemed so happy. Larry reminded me of a teddy bear, you could tell he had a soft, kind heart. I remember when 2 of Larry's Olds Officers came to work with me when our Districts were moved around he told me "make sure you take care of my boys", he genuinely cared about the people he worked with. Everyone will really miss him at our CVE family. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

Larry was my Sergeant from 2006 to 2012 when I worked with CVE in the Hanna District. He will always be remembered as a great boss and more importantly a great person. He was always excited and proud to talk about his family or an upcoming hunting or fishing trip. He will be truly missed by many, including family, friends and co-workers. Rest In Peace, Sarge.

Walter and Darlene,
Our sincere condolences to the entire family. I remember Larry loved to laugh. There was a smile in his voice that made it recognizable when he called CVEB St. Paul. I knew I was in for a laugh that would brighten my day. May the good memories provide some comfort during this difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
