Obituary of Larry Glover
Larry Alfred Glover passed away May 2, 2020 in the Hanna Long Term Care Center after suffering from a long battle of cancer. He was born on March 23, 1946 to Mary and William Glover.
Larry went to school in Calgary and Lethbridge. His jobs included working for Prudential Steel in Calgary for 8 years and then for the City of Calgary as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic for 25 years and retired in 2011.
March 9, 1979 was the day that he married Mary Caron (Molnar) and they were blessed with one daughter Kim.
Larry and Mary moved around a few times calling home at Calgary, Irricana, Central Butte, Sask., and the last move was to Hanna in 2012.
Larry really enjoyed music and played the guitar with many friends. One of his favorite places to play was at the Hanna Long Term Centre and even played there while he was in the hospital up until about 7 weeks ago. His favorite time of the year was Christmas and his yard and house were nicely decorated for the season. Another pride and joy of his was his yard including the wooden train set he made for the outside of their home. Larry enjoyed visiting and could often be found at the coffee table at Freson Bros in Hanna; learning all the “TRUE FACTS” of what was going on.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Mary and daughter Kim (Rick), as well as 3 stepsons: Gordon Caron, Steve Caron, and Mel Caron (Tracy); 5 step grandchildren; and 6 step great grandchildren.
There will be no formal funeral service as this was Larry’s request.
Special thanks to Dr. Fortna and staff at the Hanna Hospital and the Hanna Long Term Care, where Larry was a resident for about 5 weeks. Also, thanks to Dr. Kimpinski and the staff at the East Central Chiropractic and Rehab.
In lieu of flowers donations are gratefully accepted at the Hanna SPCA or Hanna Ladies Auxiliary (Hanna Long Term Care).
