Obituary of Rena Dawn Nelson

It breaks our hearts to announce the passing of Rena Dawn Nelson, at the Hanna Hospital on April 29, 2021, and the age of 66.

Rena was born on April 9, 1955 in Three Hills, Alberta to Don and Pat Braconnier. She worked for the Town of Hanna for many years and then went to work in Public Service for the Hanna RCMP detachment in 2003, retiring in 2020.

Rena enjoyed spending her time at home; she was a “homebody.” She also loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.

Rena is survived by her loving husband Bill, of 44 years; daughter Leah (Russell) Baird of Hanna, son Scott (Cori) Nelson of Sedgewick; grandchildren: Alison and Nolan Baird, and Gavin, Gage, and Griffen Nelson.

Rena was predeceased by her parents Don and Pat Braconnier.

Due to COVID restrictions a private graveside service will be held at a later date at the Netherby Cemetery.
