Stella was born in Vegreville on August 10, 1931, and spent her childhood in Lavoy/Vegreville, AB. She has fond memories of carefree days with her 2 sisters, Lorraine (Stan), Jeannie (Doug), and brother Raymond (Mennah). Stella was a proud graduate of nursing from the University of Alberta.
