Obituary of Rev. Darius Paul Stahl

We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, & great-grandfather Rev. Darius Paul Stahl on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the age of 87 years. He was born June 21st, 1936 and peacefully passed away in his home at Berry Creek Colony.

Darius Stahl was a remarkable individual who left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. Born in Stahlville, AB, he journeyed through life, residing in Stettler AB, Wildwood AB, and finally settling in Hanna, AB, in 1981.

Darius married the love of his life, Sarah Stahl (Hofer), on Oct. 8th, 1961. Together, they shared 63 beautiful years of marriage and raised six children: Evelyn (John), Judy (Ben), Debbie (Michael), Susan (Victor), Herbert, & Abby (Moses). His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Brittany, Nicole, Dillion, Sheldon, Tyler, Mackenzie, Cassandra, Whitney, Bradley, Bradin & Peyton. He is also survived by his adored great-grandchildren Wyatt, Josephine & Sadie.

Darius was a natural-born leader, excelling in various roles throughout his life. From being a Field Boss to a Financial Boss and ultimately becoming a Minister of Gospel; he dedicated himself to serving others. Alongside his wife, he passionately tended to their garden, finding joy in watching it flourish.

Darius was known for his warmth, kindness, and generosity. He held a deep love for the colony and its traditions, cherishing every opportunity to socialize and engage in meaningful conversations. His storytelling abilities were boundless, and he never hesitated to connect with everyone he met.

A Funeral Service was held on Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Berry Creek Colony Church and he was laid to rest at the Berry Creek Cemetery.

Dear father, your life was a true blessing, and your memory will forever be treasured. The love we have for you knows no bounds, and our lives will never be the same without you. May you rest in peace.
