Dr. Wilkins will be missed more than he would have ever guessed.
Hanna will saying good-bye to one of its' finest, most dedicated citizens. I am so grateful to have had him as our family doctor and neighbour. I am also happy and proud to say, “He was the doctor who delivered all three of my children.” I thank him for saving my oldest daughter's life. I had never seen a convulsion before but it didn’t take long to know she was struggling with something that we couldn't fix at home and I was terrified. Dr. Wilkins, or George, was over in minutes, He took her out of the crib, wrapped her up in his coat, whisked her off to the hospital and we followed behind. Thanks to Dr. Wilkins and staff at the Hanna Hospital, 59 years later, my daughter is still with us and healthy. We are all grateful for her life and for the life of that dear man who saved her life.
