Obituary of Alexander Link

Alexander Link was born on October 2, 1932, in Picture Butte, Alberta. Alex farmed in several areas of southern Alberta. He loved horses, ranching, and being outdoors. Alex enjoyed his racehorses, rodeo, and visiting with neighbors. He was always quick to help people in need and shared his humor and jokes along the way. Alex passed away at the Hanna Long Term Care Facility, at the age of 86 years. We hope there are horses in heaven so he can continue to do what he loved.

Alex is survived by his loving wife Violetta; children: Karen (Will) Godziuk of Hanna, Brian (Cindy) Link of Coronation, Marilyn (Don) Labrecque of St. Paul, and Timothy (Kelly) Link of Red Deer. Alex is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; siblings: Irene Genert, Steve Link and Wes Link.

Alex was predeceased by: daughter Valerie Link; siblings: Andy Link, Katie Sillito, Mike Link, and Jim Link.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hanna Round Up Centre (400 Pioneer Trail), Hanna, AB, on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. Donations are gratefully accepted to the STARS Air Ambulance.
