Terry (Sam), Dianne and family Our heartfelt sympathy and deepest condolences to you. We have many fond memories of our times together with Mabel and we are forever grateful for them. She was such a wonderful, warm and welcoming person. We had lots of fun and laughter together. We are thankful for the life Charlie & Mabel had together. Love from Vern & Shirley

Dianne and Terry, I regret I will not be able to attend Mabel's service on Friday as I am having medical issues. My thoughts and prayers are with you. How Mabel enjoyed visiting local schools with Charlie and the Legion. She is now at peace.

Mabel was my teacher for Grades 1 - 5 at Spondin School. I knew her as Mrs. Hein back then. I loved school and she was the reason! And then to work with her at the Handhills Hutterite Colony was a real thrill...it was like a walk back in time to my classroom in Spondin! She made sure you learned...and I think some of that good old fashioned drill method should still be taught today! Mabel was also the reason I became a teacher. And then just to complete the circle, I was very pleased to have cooked some of her meals while she was a resident in the Hanna Lodge. She loved every meal, usually telling me that it was always a great meal, if she didn't have to cook it! Such great memories...I will treasure forever. My sincere condolences, but a long life, well-lived!
